just wanted to say hello and that i thru hiked the A.t. in 2011 and it was the most wonderful exoerience of my life i attempted a thru paddle of the mississippi river from minnesota to the gulf of mexico in 2012(solo) but only made it to st louis...due to extreme dehydration ...i look foward to following your journey..if i can help with any info or aything let me know...i am also going to do the mississippi river again in 2013 and will most likely hike back north on the trail but will probably hike a whilethen hitch ahead then hike then hitchand just hit the sps i loved the most....good luck friend me henry stick schimpf on facebook if you like
